Growing up doesn’t mean giving up dress-up.
Today, my sister Ayie and I entertained our 5 year old cousin Danni by joining her play with her brand new Barbie make-up kit.

Feeling fun and quirky, I am reminded of the many things I dressed up to be when I was young:
1. A princess.
2. A fairy.
3. An angel.
4. A doctor.
5. A chef.
6. A teacher.
7. A Spice Girl.

No matter how absurd the possibility was of being so at a tender age, nothing stopped me from putting on the colorful costumes, the non-toxic make-up, the oversized heels, or the occasional mermaid tail.
More than ten years have passed and I am capable of more things. I am now aware of what I am able to be and I won’t allow myself to settle for anything when I know I can do greater with something that makes me happier (truly happier). I am not limited by naysayers, doubters, and unbelievers. I am about exploring what I can be and what I can do… then maximizing these things to their optimal potential. “The world is vast, the possibilities… endless.”

It’s more than just child’s play. Don’t lose inspiration. Own your dreams and keep growing.
